For our example, let’s use a direct mail
postcard. The goal is to make the most of your printing
capabilities and postal regulations all of which will
effect your bottom line.
Here’s what you need to know.
Press capabilities:
What is the maximum paper size and image
area?
Our Indigo Press prints 12” x 18” sheet with
an image area of 11.5” x 17.25”.
Postal Regulations:
What is the size and weight of your piece?
For a postcard at standard rates the max. size is 4 1/4” x
6”, weight is less than 1ounce.
An example based on the facts:
Printing a 4.25” x 6” card with full bleed,
gives you 4 cards per press sheet.
By simply changing
the size of your card to
4” x 5.75” you can print 8 cards per sheet
with a full bleed, saving you up to 50% on printing costs,
maintaining standard postage rates and giving you the most
flexibility with your design.
Call us before you design, so we can save you time, hassle
and most importantly money. |
